Top 3 Healthy Cleaning Supplies
Have you ever felt a little woozy or overwhelmed by the small of household cleaners? Maybe they even makes your eyes tear up a little bit. I’ve been trying to really clean up my life and get as many chemicals out as possible. The first thing I worked on was food. But there’s so many other toxins in our environment that we can control.
Three of my favorites that work really well are:
- VINEGAR.
- mix equal parts of vinegar and water and put in a spray bottle. It’s magic for cleaning countertops, floors, sinks.
- I don’t know what kind of crazy Mojo Vinegar has, but, put it on a hard water stain and magically disappears! It works better than anything I have ever used to remove hard water stains.
- LEMON. I love lemon because it smells so good. It gives off a nice fresh, clean scent.
- Lemon is amazing at destroying soap scum.
- Use lemon for cleaning brass and copper.
- Mix lemon juice with some baking soda until you get a paste. Use it as a scrub to clean different surfaces and dishes.
- Mix lemon juice with olive oil and use it as a furniture polish. Just test on the surface first in case it causes staining to your furniture.
- BAKING SODA. This is a fantastic non-abrasive cleanser. It’s also queen of destroying odors!
- Place in your refrigerator to absorb odors.
- Put it in your garbage cans to absorb odors,
- Pour it down the drain and follow with boiling water. It’llclean up the drain, make it smell fresh, and help dissolve some clogs.
- Add it to your laundry. It’ll give it an extra boost of clean.
- In a pinch and don’t have any toothpaste? You can use baking soda to brush your teeth.
